Families behind bars

When somebody from our community goes to jail or prison, their innocent family members also end up doing the time. They are usually devastated, often financially ruined and commonly stigmatized. Normalizing their lives is a top priority for our chaplaincy organization.

Jewish Prisoner Services International is widely recognized for its faith-based programs with incarcerated Jews, its reentry mentoring of releasees and its initiatives to protect the Jewish community, but the confidential work that we do with prisoners’ families is not so well known. However, we can assure you that we are very much fulfilling the Torah principle of all Jews being responsible for one another.

While we particularly appreciate the help provided by our Jewish agency partners, there are some things that only the expertise and experience of JPSI can accomplish. We therefore invite those who are in need of our services to contact us.
